1. General provisions
These Terms of Use govern the use of the Oksana Oliferenko website (hereinafter — the "Website") and the ordering of document translation services in the language directions Ukrainian ⇄ German ⇄ English (hereinafter — the "Services"). By using the Website or submitting a request, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.
2. Description of services
- Written translation of legal, notarial, official and personal documents in six directions: UA→DE, DE→UA, UA→EN, EN→UA, DE→EN, EN→DE.
- Transcription (deciphering) of handwritten and archival materials with subsequent translation.
- Preparation of translations for subsequent notarisation (by arrangement).
Every translation is performed by hand, without the use of machine translation systems. The Services do not constitute legal advice: the translation conveys the content of the document but is not an interpretation of its legal consequences.
3. Placing an order
- You submit a request via a form on the Website (full or quick), attaching documents in the supported formats (PDF, JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, DOC, DOCX, TXT; up to 25 MB per file).
- After reviewing the document, you receive an individual assessment of the scope, deadline and price.
- The calculation shown by the Website calculator is indicative only and does not constitute a final price.
- The contract is considered concluded upon mutual written confirmation of the terms (by email or messenger).
- After submitting a request, you receive an order code with which you can track the status on the Website.
4. Transfer and processing of documents
- Files are transferred via the Website exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS/TLS).
- Uploaded documents are kept in an isolated, protected storage, separate from the publicly accessible areas of the Website.
- By uploading a document, you confirm that you are entitled to transfer it and have it processed for translation purposes.
- Documents are not shared with third parties and are not uploaded to external machine-translation or artificial-intelligence services.
5. Confidentiality
All materials — including documents containing personal, financial, medical, judicial or notarial information — are handled strictly confidentially. The details of processing are described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.
6. Transcription of handwritten documents
- Handwritten texts are deciphered by hand, taking into account the context, historical abbreviations and the peculiarities of the handwriting.
- If individual passages cannot be read unambiguously, they are marked in the translation as illegible or accompanied by a translator's note.
- The client understands that the accuracy of transcription is objectively limited by the condition and legibility of the original.
7. Quality, review and liability
- Before delivery, every translation is proofread and its terminology is verified.
- The client is obliged to check the spelling of proper names, dates, numbers and details, and to communicate any preferred transliteration in advance.
- Liability for the Services is limited to the value of the respective order. No liability is accepted for decisions of public authorities, institutions or third parties regarding the acceptance or recognition of the translation.
8. Deadlines
The completion deadline is agreed individually and depends on the volume, complexity and legibility of the document. In cases of force majeure the deadline may be extended, with mandatory notification of the client.
9. Payment and discounts
The price is determined individually after reviewing the document. The payment method and schedule are agreed before work begins. Discounts published on the Website (volume, prepayment) apply according to the conditions in force at the time the order is confirmed. Work completed before an order is cancelled is payable proportionally.
10. Cancellation
You may cancel an order before the work is completed by giving written notice. In that case, the part of the work actually performed is payable.
11. Intellectual property
The proprietary rights to the translated text pass to the client upon full payment. The content of the Website (texts, design, graphics) is protected by copyright and may not be used without written consent.
12. Changes to these Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available on this page. Material changes do not apply retroactively to orders already confirmed.
